What to include
The more specific the first message, the shorter the path to a useful answer. For diligence work, the deal stage and timeline matter most — pre-LOI screening and a confirmatory review after signing are different exercises with different outputs. For portfolio or AI work, an approximate annual cloud or inference spend is enough to establish whether the economics justify the engagement.
What the first call is
Fifteen minutes to determine fit. I will tell you whether the problem you are describing is one I can move, and if it is not, I will say so on that call rather than scoping something that will not pay for itself. Nothing about it requires preparation on your side.
